Connecting a model's response to supplied, retrieved or otherwise identified evidence.
Grounding narrows the material a response should rely on. A prompt may ground an answer in a pasted policy, a retrieved passage, a database result or a source list, while still requiring a person to check the evidence and the interpretation.
