General AI term

An unsupported or invented detail presented by a generative model as if it were reliable.

A hallucination can be a fabricated citation, a wrong number, an invented event or a detail that was not in the supplied source. Fluency and confidence do not establish that a statement is supported.

Gaiish does not claim to eliminate hallucinations. Supplying context, defining knowledge boundaries and asking for validation can reduce ambiguity; people must still verify facts, sources and actions that matter.
